Hello Carol: celebrating can be hazardous to our homes, and accidents can occur, like spilling some wine on the carpeting. Here's your answer: there is a product called wine away that is used by all of the professionals today, just spray let it stand for a couple of minutes, then blot it up with a clean dry towel. if this product is not available to you, then take some cold water and pour it over the stain and blot it up until gone, do it several times. if that doesn't work, then take a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and some baking soda and pour it over the stain, blot it up with a clean dry towel until gone. i hope this helps.
